Description

IPBES is an independent intergovernmental body established to provide policymakers with scientific assessments on the state of biodiversity, ecosystems, and the benefits they provide to people. It identifies tools and methods to protect and sustainably use natural assets, while promoting dialogue between scientists, governments, civil society, and Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities (IPLCs).
